OPD searching for aggravated robbery suspect, person of interest

The Odessa Police Department has identified a person of interest in an aggravated robbery Tuesday at 7-Eleven, 3900 Tanglewood Lane.

Police responded to the incident around 9 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a stolen white 2003 GMC Yukon, an OPD press release said.

The complainant reportedly left his keys in the ignition with the engine running as he went into 7-Eleven, the release detailed, and noticed an unknown person driving away in his vehicle.

As the complainant tried to run after the suspect, the driver refused to stop and ran over the complainant’s left leg with one of the tires.

The release said the complainant was taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury.

Police describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic male, around 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, wearing a white shirt, black beanie, black gloves and white shoes, the release stated.

The female suspect shown in photos on OPD’s website is believed to be a person of interest.

Police located the complainant’s vehicle around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday near 11th Street and Meadow Avenue, the release detailed.

Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly stole a vehicle and ran over the victim’s leg as he made his escape.

Officers responded to the incident around 9 a.m. Tuesday at 7-Eleven, 3900 Tanglewood Lane, in reference to a stolen vehicle, an Odessa Police Department press release said.

The complainant reportedly left his keys in the ignition with the engine running as he went into the store, the release detailed, and when he returned, an unknown man was driving away in his white 2003 GMC Yukon.

As he ran after his vehicle, the suspect refused to stop and ran over the complainant’s left leg with one of the tires, the release stated.

The complainant was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury, the release said.

Police describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic man, around 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, wearing a white hoodie, black beanie, black gloves and white shoes.
