Odessa police officers are on the lookout for another missing person, 28-year-old Niko Garza, who was last seen at about 2 a.m. Saturday in the area of Business Interstate 20 and Grant Avenue.

Garza is about 5-foot, 8-inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. An OPD news release stated Garza was reported as missing at about 6:18 p.m. Saturday. Odessa police spokesman Cpl. Steve LeSueur said Garza’s mother reported him as missing.

Anyone with information in reference to Garza’s whereabouts is encouraged to call OPD or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-8477.

Garza is the second missing person Odessa police have asked the public to assist them in locating this week. Missing person Leisa Marie Vaughn, 32, was located safe and sound Wednesday in Midland, Odessa police reported.

“The Odessa Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance with the investigation,” a news release sent out Thursday stated.

Vaughn had last been seen Sunday in Odessa near 11th Street and Custer Avenue before she was reported missing Monday. OPD sent out a news release Wednesday asking for the public’s assistance in locating her and someone later called in, telling officers they saw her at an apartment complex in Midland, LeSueur said.

“Midland PD went out there and confirmed she was there,” he said.
