One suspect charged in Target robbery investigation

The Odessa Police Department has charged a man in connection with a Target robbery investigation, and is still looking for the second suspect, an OPD press release said.

Police charged 31-year-old Aaron Kacey Rowden with robbery, a second-degree felony, Monday, after he was positively identified through an Odessa Crime Stoppers Tip, the release stated.

The second unknown suspect, whom police describe as a Hispanic man, is still at large.

Officers initially responded to the robbery at around 6:18 p.m. on Halloween at Target, 3909 East 42nd St., the release detailed.

The release stated Rowden and the second suspect took merchandise to customer service and produced a matching receipt for it, receiving cash in exchange. Upon leaving, a Target employee confronted the two and one of them struck the employee in the mouth and knocked her on the ground.

Rowden and the other suspect then fled the scene in a red Ford Explorer with paper tags on the back and a black tag on the front that says “Sewell Ford,” the release said.
