Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly shot at a vehicle with a woman and her baby inside Thursday morning.
Police were called about a person with a gun around 5:08 a.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of Oakwood Drive, according to an OPD news release.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the 31-year-old complainant, the release stated, who told officers someone had shot at her Nissan Altima while she was delivering newspapers.
The release detailed the complainant fled the scene to avoid being shot, and lost sight of the suspect’s vehicle as it turned off from behind her. She told police her 9-month-old daughter was sitting in the backseat of her vehicle during the incident.
No injuries were reported, the release said.
While the complainant did not see what the suspect looked like, the release detailed, she said the suspect was driving a newer model white Chevrolet Silverado with chrome bars on the bed of the truck.
