An Odessa man is in serious condition after a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in Odessa, and Odessa police are seeking information on a suspect and two persons of interest.

Praxeded Salinas III, 24, was shot in the head by an unknown person and is in serious condition, an Odessa police release stated.

The release stated that around 4 p.m. Friday, Odessa police responded to Odessa Regional Medical Center on a call about a gunshot victim, before investigation revealed that a disturbance had occurred in the parking lot of the Kent Kwik in the 3700 block of Andrews Highway, that involved Salinas being shot.

Odessa police’s suspects fled the scene in a black 2014 Dodge Charger with a Texas license plate reading ‘HPT2637,’ and a ‘donut’ spare tire on the back passenger side, the release detailed.

Salinas was taken to ORMC and later taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury. There were no reports of any other injuries.

As of Saturday afternoon, no arrest had been made in connection to the shooting.

The release described the investigation’s suspect as a black male in his 20’s, standing about 6-feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds, wearing a black and white shirt and black sweat pants.

Two persons of interest were identified as Kendra Griffin, 22, and Cameron Griffin, 20, the release stated.
