Ector County deputies arrested and charged a man and woman Thursday accused of sexually assaulting a 25-year-old woman.

Deputies were first called about the sexual assault in the early morning of May 27 in the 2800 block of East Goldenrod Drive in Gardendale.

The victim told deputies she had been punched in the face and that the two suspects, 23-year-old Lindsey Phillips and 30-year-old Aaron Wiest, had forced themselves on her in a sexual nature, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office news release stated, adding that she knew both of them.

Phillips and Wiest were taken to the Ector County Detention Center Thursday both charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony, and were released Friday each on a $20,000 bond, the release detailed.
