The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an assault Thursday afternoon that caused a man to be stabbed with a screwdriver.
Deputies were called about a disturbance that turned into an assault about 1:45 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Hays Avenue, an ECSO news release stated.
The release detailed that the victim was stabbed in the upper torso with a screwdriver at a residence, and was taken to Medical Center Hospital. His condition was unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
ECSO Spokesperson Sgt. Gary Duesler said they are in the early stages of the investigation and no one is in custody at this time.
