A man was arrested in March after he was alleged to have threatened two others with a knife at a residence in Odessa.

Gerard Zepeda, 38, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

Zepeda was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. on March 19, an Odessa police release stated, after he brandished a knife while threatening a 44-year-old man who was his roommate, and a 23-year-old woman.

Investigation revealed that when the 44-year-old man attempted to retrieve property from their residence in the 900 block of East 14th Street, Zepeda slammed the door against him and the 23-year-old, then grabbed a knife and threatened both by using the knife in a slashing and stabbing motion while telling them to get back, the release stated.
