Man charged with sexual indecency

Deputies charged a man Tuesday after he reportedly inappropriately touched his 16-year-old niece.

The girl reported the incident to the Ector County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 15, a probable cause affidavit stated. She told officers her uncle, 37-year-old Ramon Grado, had touched her inappropriately on Valentine’s Day while they were staying at her grandmother’s house in the 11000 block of West Chaparral Drive.

Grado reportedly stuck his hands down the front of the girl’s pants while she was asleep in her aunt’s bedroom and began rubbing her vagina, the affidavit detailed, and quickly jumped up when her aunt came into the bedroom.

The victim told police Grado had also placed her hand on the groin area of his pants, the report stated.

Grado and his wife had been staying at the house in a spare bedroom where the incident occurred, the affidavit detailed.

Deputies charged Grado with sexual indecency with a child, a second-degree felony.

Jail records show Grado was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Wednesday and was released the same day on a $25,000 bond.
