A man was arrested by police last week after he reportedly sent sexually explicit messages to a 13-year-old girl asking to have sex with her.
Police first pulled over a tan 2006 Nissan Altima around 11:18 a.m. Feb. 19 traveling south on Dixie Boulevard with an expired registration, according to an Odessa Police Department news release.
The driver, identified as 19-year-old Cristian Pacheco, had a felony warrant for online solicitation of a minor, the release detailed.
An online solicitation of a minor and sexual assault report was made last November with OPD, the release stated, which said that Pacheco had contacted a 13-year-old girl through a social media app and had sent her sexually explicit messages requesting to have sex with her.
Pacheco was charged with online solicitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.
Jail records show Pacheco was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Feb. 19 and released Friday on a $50,000 bond.
