The Odessa Police Department charged a man Monday after he reportedly grabbed his mother by the face and slammed her against the wall, according to an OPD news release.
Police responded to the incident around 10:22 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of West 36th Street, the release stated, where they made contact with 41-year-old Thomas Bickle and his 73-year-old mother.
The release stated both subjects got into an argument after Bickle locked his mother out of the house. He then grabbed her by both sides of her face and shook her, and then slammed her against the wall and pushed her down onto a chair while ripping the glasses off of her face, the release detailed.
Bickle reportedly told officers he was going to kill his mother, according to the release.
Officers then charged Bickle with injury to an elderly individual, a third-degree felony, according to the release.
Jail records show Bickle was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Tuesday and has a bond set at $25,000.
