ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: September 6, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER CHILD

Abigail Garcia, 28, was granted community dismissal and discharge Aug. 20 on the charge of abandon/endanger child imminent danger bodily injury. Judge John W. Smith presided.

Ivy Mendez, 31, was granted community dismissal and discharge Aug. 26 on the charge of Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence State Jail Felony. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

ASSAULT

Arvae Maverick Walters, 31, had an aggravated assault date/family/house serious bodily injury charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge James Rush presided.

Dominique Jalvez Jefferson, Jr., 23, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

Gerald Keith Wilborn, 45, pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to intoxication assault with vehicle serious bodily injury and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

James Richard Cox, 37, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to assault family/household member previous conviction IAT and was sentenced to three years in prison and three years probation and seven years in prison (suspended). Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Novert Morales was the attorney.

Justin Duane Taylor, 35, had an assault family/house member impede breath/circulation (Fv) (F3) dismissed Aug. 24. Judge John Shrode presided. Brian Carney was the attorney.

Misty Dawn Capps, 31, had an aggravated aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed Aug. 26. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Noah Fidencio Flores, 19, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge (FV)(F2) dismissed Aug. 24. Judge Justin Low presided. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Ronald Lee Johnson, 55, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to an aggravated assault SBI (FV) and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Silverio Abalos Haro, 50, pleaded guilty Aug. 24 to assault of a public servant and was sentenced to 2,371 days in prison. Judge James Rush presided.

BURGLARY

Andy Ramirez, 39, had a burglary of habitation (F1) charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge John Shrode presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

John Anthony Sanchez, 49, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to burglary of a building and was sentenced to 12 months in county jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Tiffany Tidwell, 35, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to burglary of habitation (F2) and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Andrew Charles Yates, 33, pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to credit card or debit card abuse and was sentenced to 12 months in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

Anthony Thomas Seals Flores, 30, had an engage in organized criminal activity charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge John Shrode presided.

DEADLY CONDUCT DISCHARGE FIREARM

Aidan Castaneda, 20, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to deadly conduct discharge firearm and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

DWI

Gerald Keith Wilborn, 45, had a driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age charge dismissed Aug. 23. Judge Justin Low presided.

Gerald Keith Wilborn, 45, pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age and was sentenced to two years in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Joshua James Freeman, 36, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to drinking while intoxicated third or more and was sentenced to four years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Stephanie Escamilla, 30, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age and was sentenced to four years probation and two years in state jail (suspended). Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

Jacob Arreola, 26, pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to evading arrest or detain with previous convictions and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. J. Roxane Blount was the attorney.

Jason Villarreal, 39, had an evading arrest detain with previous conviction charge dismissed Aug. 24. Judge John Shrode presided.

Justin Lloyd Crenshaw, 32, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle dismissed Aug. 24. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Reydesel Marquez-Ortiz, 36, pleaded guilty Aug. 5 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to eight years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Stephen W. Spurgin was the attorney.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Stevan Dale Tealer, 32, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to fail to comply with registration requirements and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal. BJ Brown was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

Shaun Powell, 31, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to injury child/elderly/disable with intent bodily injury and was sentenced to seven years in prison in order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Aidan Castaneda, 20, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to possession of controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Donald Ryan Sanchez, 30, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, more than one gram, but less than four grams, dismissed Aug. 25. Judge John Shrode presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Jacob Arreola, 26, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed Aug. 23. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Jason Villarreal, 39, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, dismissed Aug. 25. Judge John Shrode presided.

Luis Ivan Martinez, 44, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed Aug. 25. Judge John Shrode presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

ROBBERY

Kalvin Dashow Franklin, 19, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to robbery and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. V. LaTawn White was the attorney.

Richard Jerome Leija, 30, had a robbery charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Anthony Thomas Seals Flores, 30, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to tamper with government rec-ins doc (A) (1,3,4,6) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Joadrian Isaiah Garza, 27, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

THEFT

Aidan Castaneda, 20, had a theft of firearm (SJF) charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

Alfredo Lerma Morales, 55, had a theft property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000, (SJF) charge dismissed Aug. 23. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Amanda M. Dickman, 28, pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to theft property, more than $30,000, less than $150,000, and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Richard Jerome Leija, 30, had a theft from person charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge James Rush presided.

Sharon Lorraine Whenry, 60, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to theft (F1) and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Michael J. Brown was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Adrian Villanueva, 23, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to unauthorized use of a vehicle and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Billy Wayne Peters, 46, pleaded guilty Aug. 24 to unauthorize use of vehicle  and was sentenced to 17 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Mike Holmes and Tony Chavez were the attorneys.

Stephanie Escamilla, 30, had an unlicensed carrying weapon on alcohol premises charge dismissed Aug. 25. Judge John Shrode presided. Jason Leach was the attorney.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER

Andy Ramirez, 39, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to violation of protective order and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.
