ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: September 13, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER CHILD

Casandra Montemayor,29, pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to abandon endanger child intentional/knowing/reckless/criminal negligence and was sentenced to nine months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Zachary Zach Wusterbarth,26, was granted community dismissal and discharge Aug. 31 on the charge of abandon endanger child criminal negligence. Judge James Rush presided. Brian Chavez was the attorney.

Kevin James Shaleen,30, had two counts of abandon endanger child criminal negligence (SJF) charges dismissed Sept. 1. Judge John Shrode presided.

ASSAULT

Alexis Michelle Barrientes,24, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to an aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Bryan Lee Conner,34, had an assault family/house member impede breath/circulation charge dismissed Aug. 26. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

David N Folk,52, had an assault impede breath/strangulation charge dismissed Sept. 8. Judge Justin Low presided. Violet Latawn White was the attorney.

Jimmy Joey Mendoza, Jr.,38, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

BAIL JUMPING

Demetrio Alvarez, Jr.,46, had a bail jumping and fail to appear felony charge dismissed Aug. 27. Judge John Shrode presided.

BURGLARY

Chad Alton Granbery,36, had a burglary of building charge dismissed Sept. 3. Judge James Rush presided.

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Ricky Dewayne Kidwell,34, pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to credit card or debit card abuse and was sentenced to 16 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Bobby Gabel Gonzales,39, had a criminal mischief, more than $2,500, but less than $30,00, charge dismissed Sept. 7. Judge James Rush presided.

DIVERT CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FOR ANOTHER PERSON’S USE

Maria Anna Reyes,41, pleaded guilty July 1 to divert controlled substance for another person’s use and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

DWI

Adan Huertas,Jr., 39, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to driving while intoxicated third or more and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

Curtis Wayne Neatherlin,56, was granted community dismissal and discharge Sept. 1 on the charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more (F3). Judge James Rush presided. BJ Brown was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Alexander Hinojos,31, pleaded guilty Aug. 9 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low presided.

Andres Galindo,27, pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

MANSLAUGHTER

Arvae Maverick Walters,31, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to manslaughter and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

ONLINE SOLICIT OF A MINOR SEXUAL CONDUCT

Juan Sigala,22, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to online solicit of a minor sexual conduct and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Adam Poss Nunez,37, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to seven months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

Rudolph Rodriguez, Jr., 33, had a possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, charge dismissed Aug. 27. Judge John Shrode presided.

San Thanh Kieu,52, pleaded guilty Aug. 27 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 373 days in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

ROBBERY

Derek Joseph Judkins,31, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to robbery and was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

Noah Quiroz,20, had her probation amended Aug. 20 on the charge of robbery and was sentenced to seven years probation.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Brea Michelle Wood,45, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair (F3) charge dismissed Sept. 1. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Lucas Juan Molina,45, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair (F3) and was sentenced to four years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Jason Leach was the attorney.

Octavio Antonio Gutierrez,58, had a tamper with government record charge dismissed Sept. 1. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

THEFT

Alan Leroy Johnson,55, pleaded guilty Sept. 7 to theft with previous convictions and was sentenced to 314 days in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Tony Chavez and Felix Neboh were the attorney’s.

Heather Aranda,37, pleaded guilty Aug. 27 to theft – aggregated (SJF) and was sentenced to eight months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

John Anthony Eloy Madrid,20, pleaded guilty Sept. 9 to unauthorize use of vehicle and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.
