ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: May 24, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Destiny Armsted, 44, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed May 14. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Dino Aguilar, 30, pleaded guilty May 18 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to four years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Dennis Jones was the attorney.

Hai Phu Nguyen, 50, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed May 19. Judge John Shrode presided. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

Leroy Begay, 46, pleaded guilty May 12 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Dennis Jones was the attorney.

Raul Gameros, 40, had an assault public servant charge dismissed May 19. Judge James Rush presided. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Amanda Salcido Guzman, 29, pleaded guilty May 14 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Dennis Jones was the attorney.

Frank Baldelio Sanchez, 24, had his probation revoked April 19 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to four years in prison. Whalen approved the deal.

Jason Dwight Waller, 32, had a burglary of building (SJF) charge dismissed May 14. Rush presided. BJ Browning was the attorney.

Robert Joe Hernandez, 36, had a burglary of habitation dismissed May 19. Shrode presided. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

DWI

James Charles Shorts, 65, had a driving while intoxicated third or more charge dismissed May 19. Low presided. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Charlie Azmed Ruiz, 29, pleaded guilty May 13 to two counts of evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to five years in prison. Low approved the deal. Luis A. Chavez and were the attorneys.

Epifanio Amador, 22, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge May 14 on the charge of evading arrest detain with vehicle. Rush presided. Spencer Dobbs was the attorney.

Kayla Guillen, 23, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge May 19 on the charge of evading arrest detention with vehicle or watercraft (SJF). Smith presided. John Shrode was the attorney.

Terrance Opel Powell, 40, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle dismissed May 19. Rush presided.

FAIL TO COMPLY WITH REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

Rickey Gene Oates, 45, had a fail to comply with registration requirement (F3) charge dismissed May 14. Low presided. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Adrian Anthony Gutierrez, 25, pleaded guilty May 14 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram (SJF) and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Rush approved the deal. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Brian Hulsey, 43, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, more than one gram, but less than four grams, dismissed May 14. Low presided.

Joel Alexander Garcia, 37, pleaded guilty May 19 to possession of a controlled substance charge, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, (F2) dismissed May 19 and was sentenced to six years probation and deferred adjudication. Low approved the deal.

Lacey Danyelle Rodriguez, 29, had a prohibited substance/item in correction/civic community facility charge dismissed May 18. Rush presided. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Leobardo Hernandez, 26, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram (SJF) dismissed May 18. Shrode presided. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

Rickie Lee McDavid, Jr., 41, pleaded guilty May 12 to lesser included offense of possession of controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Low approved the deal. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Tristan Leandrew Beane, 21, pleaded guilty May 12 to possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, and was sentenced to six months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt.

Victor Emmanuel Fernandez, 33, pleaded guilty May 11 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Whalen approved the deal. Daniel Sarabia Jr. was the attorney.

Zebulon Bryce Donner, 24, had a possession of controlled substance charge, less than one gram, (SJF) dismissed May 19. Rush presided.

PROHIBITED WEAPON

Telvin Jasmond Green, 30, pleaded guilty May 14 to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Rush approved the deal. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

TAMPER

Adrian Ceron Paez, 36, had a tamper with government records charge (F3) dismissed May 13. Shrode approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

THEFT

Christian Alberto Blanco, 25, pleaded guilty May 14 to theft of firearm (SJF) and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Rush approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

Dustin Curtis McDonald, 37, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge May 14 on the charge of theft of property, less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions (SJF). Rush presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Jacob Rodriguez Nino, 35, had two counts of theft property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 (SJF) charges dismissed May 18. Shrode presided. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

Martha Cedillo Mulkey, 50, pleaded guilty May 17 to aggravated sexual assault child and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Martha Cedillo Mulkey, 50, pleaded guilty May 17 to sexual assault of a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. Mulkey was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.
