ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: May 17, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDONING OR ENDAGERING

Sergio Valentin Aranda, 32, was granted community discharge and dismissal May 11 on abandoning or endangering. Judge John W. Smith presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

ASSAULT

Kevin Gilbert Galindo, 27, pleaded guilty May 7 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 10 years and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Jackson Lee McMillian, 37, had a burglary habitation intend other felony charge dismissed May 6. Rush presided. Steve Hershberger was the attorney.

Stewart Ray Childers, 45, pleaded guilty May 7 to burglary habitation intend other felon and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Rush approved the deal. Tommy W. Hull was the attorney.

DWI

Collin William-Ray Davis, 36, was granted community discharge and dismissal May 11 on driving while intoxicated/open alcohol content third/more (F3). Smith presided. Mike Homes was the attorney.

Helen Marie Losoya, 29, was granted community discharge and dismissal May 11 on driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age. Smith presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Jonathan Pete Fuentes, 29, pleaded guilty May 11 to drinking while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Henry Grace, 28, had an evading arrest/detention with vehicle charge (F3) dismissed May 11. Rush presided.

Jonathan Pete Fuentes, 29, pleaded guilty May 11 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to three years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Brodney J. Moses was the attorney.

Luis Armendariz, 19, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle charge dismissed May 11. Whalen presided. Justin Wayne Low was the attorney.

Roger Cuevas, 21, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle charge dismissed May 10. Whalen presided. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

INJURY TO A CHILD

Hector Garcia Olivas, 28, had his probation revoked April 15 to injury to a child – serious bodily injury and was sentenced to four years in prison. Whalen approved the deal.

MURDER

Paul Lujan, 38, had a murder charge dismissed May 11. Judge Cecil G. Puryear presided. Orlando Castanon was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A COTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Anselmo Cano, 24, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed May 6. Judge John Shrode presided. Jason Leach was the attorney.

Barbara Salgado Linn, 53, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed May 10. Judge Tryon D. Lewis presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Brandon Sydow, 34, had a manufacture delivery of a controlled substance charge, more than one gram, but less than four gram, dismissed May 10. Whalen presided. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Cheryl Ann Vaden, 59, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed May 12. Judge James Rush presided. BJ Brown was the attorney.

Dillion Paul Braswell, 23, pleaded guilty May 7 to possession of mushrooms and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Rush approved the deal.

John Anthony Sanchez, 20, pleaded guilty May 11 to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to 10 years of probation and deferred adjudication. Whalen presided. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Kandwani Carthon, 42, had a possession of a controlled of marijuana charge, more than four ounces, but less than five pounds, dismissed May 11. Rush presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Karen Brillit Quezada, 28, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed May 11. Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.
