ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: June 28, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Dante Peters, 23, pleaded guilty June 17 to aggravated assault against public servant and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Darrell Johnson, 36, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed June 21. Judge Tryon D. Lewis presided.

Miska Janiece Robinson, 34, had an aggravated assault FV with deadly weapon charge dismissed June 17. Judge John Shrode presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

COMPLY SEX OFFENDERS DUTY TO REGISTER

Claude Gene Walters, 68, pleaded guilty June 17 to fail to comply sex offenders duty to register 10 years (SJF) and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

DWI

Michael Joseph Salinas, 35, pleaded guilty June 16 to drinking while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to five years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Luis A. Chavez was the attorney.

Rogelio Ramos Orosco, 56, had his probation revoked June 16 on the charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Alana Marie Chavez, 18, pleaded guilty June 17 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Ociel Carrillo, 66, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge June 18 on the charge of evading arrest detain with vehicle. Judge James Rush presided. Jason Schoel was the attorney.

Ramon Guiean Meierhoff, 31, pleaded guilty June 16 to evading arrest detain with previous conviction and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjucation. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

FORGERY

Johnathan L. Bourke, 25, pleaded guilty June 16 to two counts of forgery and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge J.A. “Jim” Bobo approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

OBSTRUCTION OR RETALIATION

Dagoberto Valverde, 41, had an obstruction or retaliation charge (F3) dismissed June 21. Judge John Shrode presided.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Alexa Rodriguez, 21, pleaded guilty June 17 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Eric David Chavez, 30, had his probation revoked June 10 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, one gram, and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Jaime David Marquez, 34, pleaded guilty June 11 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail in an order adjudicating jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

Lorenzo Lozano, 22, pleaded guilty June 17 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 12 months in state hospital. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Matthew Isaiah Barraza, 28, pleaded guilty June 17 to possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 400 grams, and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Rodolfo Villegas, Jr., 45, pleaded guilty June 17 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to five years probation and two years in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Timothy James Simpson, 53, had his probation amended June 18 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, one gram, and was sentenced to four years probation. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

THEFT

Albert Martin Hazlett, Jr., 43, pleaded guilty June 16 to theft property, more than $2,500, but less than 30,000 and was sentenced to 199 days in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Daniel Hermosillo Ortiz, 26 pleaded guilty June 16 to theft property, more than $2,500, but less than 30,000 and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Shawn Garrett McKay, 34, had a theft property, more than $30,000, but less than $150,000 charge dismissed June 17. Judge Tryon D. Lewis presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZE USE OF VEHICLE

Arturo Isaac Tellez, 37, pleaded guilty June 11 to unauthorize use of vehicle and was sentenced to 16 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

Jennifer Lynn Gardner, 22, pleaded guilty June 16 to unauthorize use of vehicle and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.
