ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: June 21, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Chaviya Antwon Hammond, 46, pleaded guilty June 15 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Jhomaira Rosalva Arvizu, 25, pleaded guilty June 15 to assault public servant and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Shrode approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Roger David Miller, 40, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) charge dismissed June 9. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

BAIL JUMPING

Alex Brito, 30, had a bail jumping and fail to appear felony charge dismissed June 9. Judge James Rush presided.

BURGLARY

Alfonso Munoz Ortega, 32, had a burglary habitation charge dismissed June 11. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Jordan David Sanders, 31, pleaded June 10 guilty to burglary a habitation and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Whalen approved the deal.

Mason Aurelio Pando, 21, pleaded guilty June 9 to burglary of habitation 06/09/2021 and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Whalen approved the deal. Matt L. Thomas was the attorney.

DWI

Apolonio Esequiel Nicolas, 61, pleaded guilty June 15 to driving while intoxicated, third or more (F3) and was sentenced to three years in prison. Shrode approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

Joe Louis Villa, Jr., 44, had a driving while intoxicated, third or more, (F3) charge dismissed June 11. Rush presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Kristy Ray-Lee Bloomfield, 31, was granted community dismissal and discharge June 14 on the charge of driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Glen G. Halsell Is the attorney.

Rolando Carbajal Chapa, 31, pleaded guilty June 15 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge Tryon D. Lewis approved the deal. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

Roman Madrid, 39, had a driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age charge dismissed June 15. Shrode presided. Jason Leach was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Christopher Lee McCarty, 33 pleaded guilty to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Rush approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

Javier Romero, 33, pleaded guilty June 9 to evading arrest detain with previous conviction (SJF) and was sentenced to two years in state jail. Whalen approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

Jessica Marie Hart, 25, pleaded guilty June 11 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Whalen approved the deal. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

FORGERY

Johnathan L. Bourke, 25, pleaded guilty June 16 to two counts forgery and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge J.A. “Jim” Bobo approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

INDECENCY WITH A CHILD

Rayland E. Gipson, 65, pleaded guilty June 15 to indecency with a child and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Shrode approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

Amanda Fay Blair, 38, pleaded guilty June 11 to lesser included offense of possession of controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Rush approved the deal. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

THEFT

Frankie Varela, 54, pleaded guilty June 15 to theft – aggregated and was sentenced to five years probation and two years in state jail (suspended). Lewis approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Michael Paul Piedra, 30, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge June 14 on the charge of theft of property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 (SJF). Rush presided. Tara M. Wood was the attorney.

Ricky Carrillo, Jr., 38, pleaded guilty June 9 to theft property more than $30,000, but less than $150,000, and was sentenced to five years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

UNLICENSED POSSESSION
