ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: January 24, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Adetunji Olugbenga Ayankoya, 42, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 t to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Kelsey Jewell Robbins was the attorney.

Alex Nieto, 26, pleaded guilty Jan. 12 to aggressive assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Angel Alejandro Valencia, 29, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to two counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

Brian Gabriel Ramos, 26, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Jaime Miguel Gutierrez, 33, pleaded guilty Jan. 5 to aggressive assault with deadly weapon bodily injury FV and was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt and five years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

INTERFERENCE WITH CHILD CUSTODY

Jennifer Michelle Holloway, 41, had an interference with child custody (SJF) charge dismissed Jan. 18. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Joshua Floyd and Rudolf Moisiuc were the attorneys

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Katrina Beaty, 28, pleaded guilty Jan. 12 to credit card or debit card abuse and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John W. Smith presided.

DWI

Carl William Gragg, 37, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 10 on the charge of driving while intoxicated with child. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Jose Saucedo Gutierrez, 60, pleaded guilty Jan. 13 to driving while intoxicated, third or more (F3), and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Mary Katherine Sosa, 56, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 10 on the charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more (F3). Judge Denn Whalen presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Tanner Shane Vestal, 27, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 11 on the charge of evading arrest detain with vehicle. Judge James Rush presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

MANUFACTURE DELIVERY

Ramiro Valentin Joachin, 18, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Benito Vega, 32, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Jan. 11 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram. Judge James Rush presided. Matt L. Thomas was the attorney.

Eric Dewayne Phillips, 33, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Gary Garrison was the attorney.

Gabriel Lara, Jr., 29, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed Jan. 14. Judge James Rush presided.

Jeancie Esparza Valdespino, 24, pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

John Joseph Hernandez, 44, pleaded guilty Jan. 13 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Ada Nwaneri was the attorney.

Luis Noel Marquez, 31, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Marc Anthony Vasquez, 21, pleaded guilty Dec. 16, 2021, to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, (F3) and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Ada Nwaneri was the attorney.

Sasha Marie Villarreal, 34, pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years in probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

PUBLISH/THREAT TO PUBLISH INTIMATE VISUAL MATERIAL

Jacqueline Marie Holguin, 45, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to publish/threat to publish intimate visual material and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

ROBBERY

Rene Rodriguez, 47, pleaded guilty Jan. 13 to robbery (F2) and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

THEFT

Evan Cire Williams, 26, pleaded guilty Jan. 12 to theft of firearm and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Matthew William Martin, 37, pleaded guilty Jan. 5 to theft property, less than $2,500 two more previous convictions and was sentenced to six months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Brian Chavez was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Alfred Gonzales Sanchez, 51, pleaded guilty Jan. 12 to unauthorized use of vehicle and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Gerardo Ignacio Rojas, 19, pleaded guilty Jan. 4 to unauthorized use of vehicle and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

UNLAWFUL DISCLOSURE OR PROMOTION

Jacqueline Marie Holguin, 45, pleaded guilty Jan. 14 to an unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.
