Drowning victim flown to Lubbock

A 2-year-old child involved in a possible drowning Monday afternoon was flown to a Lubbock hospital for further treatment, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office news release stated.

ECSO Spokesperson Gary Duesler said no further information is known at this time and the child’s condition was unknown as of Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies were first called about the incident around 3:50 p.m. Monday in the 16500 block of South Windmill Avenue, the release detailed.

The child’s mother told deputies her son had fallen into their swimming pool and she had pulled him out and called 911, the release stated.
