The Odessa Police Department is investigating a burglary that resulted in loss of about $11,000 in property from the City of Odessa Parks Maintenance building.

Police were called about the burglary at about 6:55 a.m. March 9 at the building, 4330 N. County Road West, an OPD news release stated.

Three trucks at the property had been burglarized, the city shop had been broken into and a city work van and utility trailer were missing, the release stated.

The city van was later found abandoned near Westmoor Road and FM 1936. The trailer, which is still missing, contained 10 aluminum tables, 15 folding chairs, about $200 worth of wire material, a recreation tent, 500 feet of electric power supply reel and several miscellaneous tools, the release stated.

All of the material in the trailer is valued around $5,000, the release detailed. The stolen trailer is a 2016 white Lark cargo, about 16 to 18 feet long, with the Texas license plate No. 9046413.
