A 26-year-old Andrews man reportedly died in a two-vehicle collision near Goldsmith.
The fatal collision happened at 9:37 a.m. Nov. 8 on Farm-to-Market Road 181 four miles east of Goldsmith, a Texas Department of Public Safety press release detailed.
Matthew Allen Larue, 26, of Andrews was reportedly driving a 2011 Cadillac CTS, while Roberto Toirac, 41, of Odessa was driving a 2011 Freightliner truck tractor.
The Cadillac was traveling south on Farm-to-Market Road 181 as the Freightliner and a towed unit was traveling north, the press release stated. The Cadillac drove into the northbound lane and collided with the Freightliner.
Larue was pronounced dead by medical examiner Robin Wood, the press release detailed. Toirac had no injuries. Larue and Toirac were both wearing their seatbelts.
