City officials said Monday that associations were warned via email on Friday not to remove anything from the UTPB complex until after the Odessa City Council meets Tuesday and votes on who can remove structures and equipment.
That news comes after a weekend where numerous soccer goals were dismantled leaving large holes across the UTPB soccer fields.
On Sunday, at least two people were photographed removing an awning from the softball fields as well.
City officials will take up the matter on Tuesday during the meeting. However, UT system lawyers last week warned the city via a letter that the terms of the lease agreement between UTPB and the City of Odessa only allows city workers to remove items and that no one else will be permitted to do so.
