The City of Odessa and Ector County offices are closed today for the New Year’s holiday. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday morning.
During the holiday period, City trash receptacles should be reserved for perishable items only. Large brown trash containers will only be emptied once during the week of Jan. 1. Customers with roll out trash carts normally serviced Monday can expect pick up on Tuesday.
Live Christmas trees can be legally disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, next door to the Odessa Recycle Center located at 816 W. 42nd St. Drop off windows for cardboard, plastics, paper (including wrapping paper) and aluminum cans are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
