Government offices will be closed today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The City of Odessa and Ector County offices will also be closed. Trash bins will only be picked up once this week. Customers will roll out trash carts normally serviced today can expect pick up on Tuesday.
The regular business offices of the Odessa Police Department will also be closed today.
To avoid an overflowing accumulation of trash and debris in dumpsters, citizens are asked to recycle items at the Odessa Recycle Center, 816 West 42nd Street.
Trash, debris and bulky items piled next to the alley dumpsters is illegal and prevents the Solid Waste trucks from being able to pick up the containers when service resumes.
