THE STORY: Fay Batch and Enrique Romero have filed applications for the open Precinct 2 seat on the Ector County Independent School District board of trustees.

THE POLL: Whom do you prefer for the Precinct 2 seat on the Ector County Independent School District’s board of trustees?

>> Fay Batch: 71 Percent.

>> Enrique Romero: 29 Percent.


>> “dump it, have you ever attended the Bible class? Do you have a child that was forced to attend it? Have you actually seen the curriculum? Are you in direct contact with the curriculum or students that are taking it? Do you have any relevant comments concerning these two candidates? In other words, what is your point? and why do you have these points of view? If I did live in the correct part of the district I would vote for Batch, she has children in the disctict which gives her direct ties. She is found not only in the board meetings, she is seen throughout the district working on behalf of students and parents.”

>> “We need someone who can spearhead the removal of the Bible class.”
