THE STORY: Company officials for the Dunlaps Department Store in Odessa have laid to rest a rumor, that the store was being purchased by an individual buyer and would be kept open. Officials say the store is still closing.

YOUR COMMENTS:

>> “Is this another case of the TV news jumping the gun to say one set of news while the Paper took it’s time and got the real story, or is this a case of a company manipulating the process to get free advertising? Either way it makes the TV stations look foolish if they close, the paper if they stay open, the reality is that Dunlaps next generation failed the founders of the company.”

>> “Well, if they are not closing, why are they putting new furniture in the store. Will this be a furniture store? Let’s get the truth of what’s going on!
