THE STORY: Odessa College’s board of trustees unanimously approved providing a $35,000 allocation to OC’s radio station, KOCV-FM, for the 2007-’08 fiscal year.

THE POLL: As of 4 p.m. Friday 86 percent of oaoa.com respondents said they listen to KOCV-FM. About 14 percent of voters said they don’t.

>> “Thank you OC. Losing KOCV-FM would be losing a valuable resource. The quality of music and news is very special. I think if you went back to having just one fund raiser a year it would be more effective than having one every few months. I used to contribute when Doug Cole would have his drive once a year. It got to be too much when there were fund drives every 3 or 4 months. Just a suggestion. We love KOCV FM and appreciate OCs continued support.”
