After the July 2 school board meeting where Wendell Sollis was dismissed as superintendent, I was waiting to talk to Sollis.

But trustee Randy Rives came up to me and said I couldn’t talk to Sollis. I insisted and Rives just kept on saying I couldn’t talk to him.

I told Rives this is a free country. I served in the Army in Korea for our freedom.

Rives denied me freedom of speech. I would like for something to be done about it.

I have read in the newspaper that Rives might run for state representative. I want the people of Odessa to know what Rives did after that school board meeting.
