1. My wish is that we have more bipartisan meetings like last week’s with Trump, Pelosi and Schumer — just the three of them and their food tasters. We have become a tribal nation that will tolerate most forms of violence except helmet-to-helmet contact.

Trump would be all in for three-way negotiations with Pelosi and Schumer. His official response: “You had me at ‘three-way.’”

2. In keeping with the season, I wish all politicians would go to church more. Trump, Pelosi and Schumer do not like to attend religious services since they are forced to be quiet for an hour.

Trump tried to bring Christian and Jewish faiths together by attending the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue after the shootings there. It kind of worked; never have so many northern Jews exclaimed “Jesus Christ!!” as when he entered the Temple.

3. I wish the story of Christmas would make all politicians kinder. The problem in the story of Christmas is where the Three Wise Men brought Jesus gifts. Nowadays politicians will award the Wise Man who brought gold with a government contract. The other two, who brought frankincense and myrrh, will get investigated.

4. Washington elites need to stop going after the president on manufactured Russian “collusion” charges in order to damage him. Democrats need to be careful; when you go after a president, you might not get the one you intended. The most popular Christmas song in D.C. this year was “It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Clinton.”

5. I wish the Democrats would not nominate Hillary Clinton again. Hillary cannot possibly run. I remember her getting into that van; she could barely walk. Obama still carries the water for the Democrat Party doing fundraisers in Hollywood for candidates, where most of the old donors address him as “Denzel.”

6. Hopefully Sen. Elizabeth Warren will admit she is not native Indian, as her DNA test proved. Politics is always about nuanced semantics. She showed up at a recent fundraiser with a red dot on her forehead; she ain’t giving this up without a fight.

7. FBI credibility might be hard to regain, but I hope it’s possible. Sanctimonious drama-queen Jim Comey did a lot of damage to law enforcement’s integrity. But, to be fair, it was a tough task to fill the shoes of J. Edgar Hoover, especially since they were high heels.

8. I wish it were not a bad thing to be white in America. All U.S. traditions came from Great Britain. Like they do at Buckingham Palace, we ought to let tourists line up to watch the monthly Changing of the Chief of Staff ceremony at the White House.

9. The USGA should not have taken its political views out on Trump by not giving him further events. The U.S. Women’s Open was held at Trump National Golf Club and had good ratings. Trump was able to gin up interest in women’s golf by adding a swimsuit category to the competition.

10. I’m thankful Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were confirmed. Their installation strikes irrational fear in those on the left, who manipulate the courts to achieve their political will. They worry too much about the courts tilting more to the right, and they fear the Supreme Court might rule that Elton John is straight or something.

11. I wish that European countries would step up and pay for their share of NATO. Europe’s reluctance to spend on its own defense seems historically tone deaf, given how many times they have called Trump “Hitler.”

12. I hope all states legalize marijuana. The University of Oklahoma surprised everyone by voting to make it legal, which I fear will give the Sooners a recruiting advantage over SEC schools.

13. I hope Lebron James has success with the Lakers. He was with Cleveland, Miami, and then back to Cleveland. He made history by being the only person ever to move willingly back to Cleveland, OH.

14. I hope we learn from Trump, a man who famously does not drink or use drugs, yet apparently gets around with Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmates. Nancy Reagan promoted her “Just Say No” campaign telling America we didn’t have to do drugs or drink to have a good time — but Trump leads by example.

15. I wish Sports Illustrated would again publish its edition with famous athletes posing nude. And I am thankful there are no bowlers.
