H-E-B campaign benefits food bank

During the month of February, a portion of every sale at both H-E-B restaurants in Odessa and Midland will be donated to the West Texas Food Bank in the True Texas BBQ “Hunger Stops Here” campaign.
In effort to help end the struggle with hunger within the community, the campaign includes in-store orders as well as online orders placed through Texas To Go and HEB.com. The campaign launched this month in two West Texas True Texas BBQ restaurants located within the H-E-B stores at 2501 W. University Ave. in Odessa and 5407 Andrews Hwy. in Midland.
“As the largest food retailer in the state, it is our mission to give back to communities we serve, and partner with organizations like the West Texas Food Bank to help expand our reach to every Texas family in need,” said Colton Batchelor, Director of Retail Operations for H-E-B West Texas in a news release.
The Hunger Stops Here campaign is a part of the companywide Food Bank Assistance Program, which works year-round to raise awareness and battle hunger in Texas.
