ODESSA Harold E. Jordan, 87, passed away peacefully April 7, 2007, at Hospice House.

Harold was born February 23, 1920 in Garvin, Oklahoma. He married Margaret Medford on July 3, 1940, in Idabel, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 1996 after 56 years of marriage.

He moved his family to Odessa in 1952 from Borger, Texas. He worked in the automobile business until he retirement in 1990.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge, and a longtime member of the American Legion. Harold and Margaret Began square dancing in 1958 and were charter members of the Allemanders Square Dance Club. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

His brother Hollis Jordan and one great-grandson preceded him death.

Harold is survived by his daughter Marla Hensley and husband Joe of Odessa, son Jimmy Jordan and wife Janell of Farmington, N.M., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Helen Stafford of Wright City, OK.

Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 3 p.m. with his grandson Justin Jordan Officiating.

Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to Hospice house or the charity of your choice.
