ODESSA Esperanza “Lala” Subia Nava, 74 years of age, passed away on July 23, 2007, at the Hospice House. She was born on August 31, 1932 in Alpine, Texas to Francisco and Valentina L. Subia. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Ms. Nava is preceded in death by her parents, son: Joe Lujan and daughter: Nancy Lujan and brothers: Lorenzo and Frederico Subia.

She is survived by her daughters: Diana Rios and husband Rufino, Dora Lujan and son Mark Epp, LoAnna Tavarez and husband David, all of Odessa, TX; brothers: Manuel Subia and wife Mary Lou of San Jose, California, Ramon Subia and wife Manuela, and Chuco Subia, all of Odessa, TX, and Francisco Eduardo Bustamante and wife Eufrosina of Seminole, TX; sisters: Estella Guerra and husband Jesus of Laredo, TX, and Celia Sapata and husband Reynaldo of Wichita Falls, TX; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Guerra, Javi Guerra, Fabian Rios, Ernest Rios, Gino Subia, Frankie Subia, Reymond Subia and Adam Subia.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. tonight at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
