CYPRESS Sara Delise Abbott and Patrick LoRe Kanaby, both of Houston, were married June 14 at Longwood Golf Club in Cypress with the bride’s grandfather, Reverend Merriel Abbott, officiating the ceremony. Guests enjoyed a reception dinner and dance following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Abbott of Crane. She attended Wayland Baptist University. She is employed as a teacher at Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.

The groom is the son of Phil and Linda Kanaby of Houston. He attended Texas Tech University and is employed as a teacher and coach at Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.

The honor attendees were the bride’s sister, Lauren Abbott, and Erik Kanaby, the groom’s brother. Bridesmaids were Destri Schul Escobar and Kim Chaffin. Groomsmen were Scott Hockaday and Travis White. The flower girl and ring bearer were Ari Deming and Urijah Escobar. Reagan Deming, accompanied by Hillary Malone on the keyboard, performed special music.
