ODESSA April Portillo and Jesus J. Valenzuela II of Odessa were married Jan. 26 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Rodriguez officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Polo and Evelyn Portillo of Odessa. She is a graduate of Odessa High School and the University of Texas in Austin. She attends the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

The groom is the son of Jesus and Manuela Valenzuela of Odessa. He is a graduate of Odessa High School and he attended Odessa College.

Honor attendants were: Jennie Portillo, Veronica Valenzuela, Marisela Valenzuela, Marisela Correa, Naiva Morales, Courtney Storm, Gabi Gutierrez, Jessica Olivo, Joe Uranga, Alfonso Portillo, Erbei Uranga, Jonathan Hernandez, Alfred Alvarado, Boray Hernandez, Robert Romo and Nick Waldhelm.

The couple took their wedding trip to the Sandals Resort in Saint Lucia. They live in Odessa.
