LUBBOCK Alexander Mark Ormsby and Emily Joan Aranda were married for time and eternity in the Lubbock Texas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on May 17, 2013, with President Steven Vore officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jose and Rosa Aranda of Midland, TX. She is a 2011 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. She recently attended Midland College and is transferring to New Mexico Jr. College. She is pursuing a nursing degree.

The groom is the son of Bishop Jimmie D. and Sharon Ormsby of Odessa, TX. He is a 2006 graduate of Odessa High School and a 2013 graduate of Midland College with a degree in Energy Technology. He is employed by Chevron in Hobbs, NM.

The Maid of Honor was Rebecca Aranda, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were: Judy Esparza, Jessica Coombs, Leslie Alcozer, Jasmine Esparza, Alejandra Velasquez. Philip Ormsby and Matthew Ormsby, brothers of the groom, served as Best Men. Groomsmen were: Daniel Ormsby, Benjamin Ormsby, Amed Aranda and Jose Aranda, brothers of the couple.

The reception took place on May 18 at the Gateway Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had a beach theme with lighthouses, sea shells, lanterns, sand, treasure boxes, starfish and flowers. Dinner, dancing and a mariachi band capped off the night for the couple and their many family and friends.

Alex and Emily traveled to Nassau, Bahamas, for their honeymoon.

The couple currently resides in Hobbs, NM.
