AUSTIN Anne and Douglas Mackey of Odessa are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Wendell Dugger Faulkner III, to Rachel Lauren Grimes, daughter of Deborah and Geary Grimes of Hurst. Mr. Faulkner is also the son of Julie and Wendell Faulkner, Jr. of Odessa.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Charlotte Slack of Pecos and the late Richard “Dick” Slack, and Janet Faulkner of Austin, formerly of Pecos, and the late Wendell Faulkner. Mr. Faulkner graduated in 2007 from Odessa High School and plans to graduate in August with a BS in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Birdwell High School in North Richland Hills, and a 2011 graduate of Texas A & M University at College Station, where she received an engineering degree in Industrial Distribution.

The couple plan to marry on June 21, 2014 in Austin.
