Volunteer of the month

Faye Smith has been named December Medical Center Health System Volunteer of the Month. Fifteen years, nine months and 38,414.07 hours of volunteering at Medical Center Hospital, this is how Smith gives back to the community and shares her love with families, patients, employees, doctors and her fellow volunteers. Nominations spoke of Faye’s love for helping others, her love for service and going above and beyond. “I am honored to be awarded the Volunteer of the Month for December,” Smith said. “I just do what I do because I am blessed to help others.” “When you just make the decision to get involved, you will quickly realize you have enough time,” expressed Faye. “My favorite scripture is Psalm 23, ‘The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.’ All that I have, comes from the Lord and he wants me to help others … He will supply the rest.” For those interested in volunteering at MCHS, click on the application link HERE. There are volunteer openings in the popcorn shop, MCHS Outfitters Store, WSMP ambassador and ED PAL.
