GOOD NEWS: Testing Turn Out

About 300 people were tested Wednesday during the free COVID-19 drive thru testing event. The extra 100 tests were the ones that were unused from previous events. More testing events will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Oct. 21 at Woodson Park, Washington Lane parking lot; Oct. 28 at Slater Park, both parking lots; Nov. 4 at Central Park, East 13th Street parking lot; and Nov. 18 at Ratliff Stadium parking lot. Only 200 tests will be administered at each event, first-come first-serve. Odessa and Ector County residents must show proof of residency. Children as young as 3-years-old are eligible for testing. No appointments or preregistration required. Residents can expect to receive results in 5-7 days. For more information, call 557-6557 or visit tinyurl.com/yy4dgfxn.
