Ector County Independent School District recently announced that Mariachi Broncho from Odessa High School received straight 1’s, a superior rating, from the judges at the State Mariachi UIL Contest held July 18-19 in Seguin. “The students represented Odessa High School, ECISD, and our community so proudly and very well,” OHS Mariachi Director Jerimie Hernandez said. The students involved are seniors Isaac Granados, Gabriel Acevedo, Brandon Muñiz, Sergio Mata, and Marco Hernández; juniors Ivan Lujan, Jazmine Ituarte, Izaiah Esparza, and Joel Zuniga; and freshmen Izek Lujan, Victoria Rivera, Damián Camacho, Carmen Robles, and Ángel López.
