The Medical Center Health System recently presented Carrie Hart, registered nurse, with the DAISY Award for her works as care coordinator. She has been with MCHS for three years. The patient that nominated Hart was very thankful for the care received, saying “This woman went to great lengths to make sure I had what I needed.” The patient stated that Hart “is one of the best nurses you have. Not many will take time to make sure all medication is known and what needs to be held if condition changes. Give credit to where credit is due, Nurse Carrie!” The DAISY Award is an international program was established in 1999 that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day.
