West Odessa standoff ends

Odessa Police Chief Chris Pipes has confirmed that two OPD officers have been killed.

Earlier this evening three Odessa Police Department officers responded to an incomplete 9-1-1 call from a home in the 2900 block of Ventura Avenue.

Sgt. Pete Marquez confirmed that his brother, OPD Cpl. Abel Marquez, had been shot Saturday evening.

Officials at Medical Center Hospital say Marquez will not be transported to Lubbock until he is stabilized.

Officials say the suspect is in custody and has been transported to Medical Center Hospital.
