College soccer: UTPB women shut out Angelo State

SAN ANGELO For the first time since September, the UTPB women’s soccer has put together two consecutive victory after winning 1-0 at host Angelo State in a nonconference game Wednesday.
Jessica Lentz assisted sophomore Hannah Dozier’s team-leading 13th goal in the 28th minute. The defense and freshman goalkeeper Victoria Ramirez had it from there while producing the shutout for Lady Falcons (5-11-1).
It was the Lady Falcons’ first shutout victory since a 4-0 nonconference decision against Wayland Baptist on Sept. 8, the beginning of the team’s last two-game winning streak.
