The UTPB volleyball team had tonight’s match against College of the Southwest in Hobbs, N.M., moved to Heizer Junior High instead the college gymnasium.
The match starts at 8 p.m.
UTPB (10-8) has won six consecutive matches. The Lady Falcons began the streak with a 30-19, 26-20, 30-24, 30-21 win against College of the Southwest on Sept. 11 in Odessa.
In that victory, Amithy Henry had 22 kills for UTPB while Krystal Polk had 17 and Mica Lamprecht added 15.
Heizer Junior High is located at 101 E. Stanolind Road in the south side of Hobbs.
Women's Soccer: UTPB women back on
The UTPB women’s soccer team will get a chance to end its six-game winless streak at 4 p.m. today with a game at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
Today’s match was scheduled for Sept. 11 but was postponed because Howard Payne had a waterlogged pitch.
UTPB (1-4-2) has lost three consecutive games and has not won since beating Way-land Baptist 8-0 in its season opener.
Since Rashelle Wohleking scored in the 39th min-ute of a 2-1 loss to Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 10, UTPB has gone scoreless for 241 consecutive minutes covering three matches.
Men's Soccer: UTPB men lose
WICHITA, KAN. Friends University scored three goals in the second half for a 4-1 win against the UTPB men’s soccer team on Saturday night.
Carlos Guillen scored for UTPB in the first half, which ended in a 1-1 tie.
Kevin Ten Eyck, Micah Fouquet, Ga-briel Parham and Brandon Rhodes had goals for Friends (5-0-1).
UTPB (3-6) plays Midwestern State at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Wichita Falls. The Mustangs are ranked No. 13 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
