College soccer: UTPB women put up good fight, fall to No. 19 Incarnate Word
Comments 0 | Recommend 0SAN ANTONIO UTPB’s Hannah Dozier scored in the 58th minute but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Falcons fell to 19th-ranked University of the Incarnate Word 2-1 Saturday evening in a Heartland Conference contest.
Lianah Flores scored in first half for the Lady Cardinals (9-1-2 overall, 4-0 in conference), with Sarah Hernandez adding the eventual winning goal early in the second half.
UTPB (3-8, 1-4) will return to the pitch on Oct. 11 when it hosts Newman University at 1 p.m. at UTPB Field.
