College soccer: UTPB gets back into action

The UTPB men’s and women’s soccer teams each take on visiting Wayland Baptist University today for a pair of non-conference games at Falcon Field.

The women’s team plays at 3 p.m., followed by the men’s team at 5 p.m.

The Lady Falcons (0-2 overall, 0-1) are still searching for their first game, coming off a 3-2 Heartland Conference-opening loss at Dallas Baptist University on Thursday.

 Tiffany Richter leads UTPB with six shot attempts.

The Flying Queens (2-2) defeated McMurry University 2-1 on Thursday.

The Falcons (1-1-1) are coming off a 1-1 tie to host Hardin Simmons University on Saturday.

Marcelo Andres leads UTPB with three points and eight shots, five on goal.

The Pioneers (0-4) lost 1-0 against McMurry on Thursday.
