UTPB (1-15, 0-2) has lost 14 consecutive games this season and is 1-39 in its last 40 games overall.
>> PRO HOCKEY: Jackalopes tumble in N.M.: In Rio Rancho, N.M., the New Mexico Scorpions scored two goals in the final two minutes of the second period to take control and went on to beat the Odessa Jackalopes 5-1 on Friday night in a Central Hockey League game at the Santa Ana Star Center.
Odessa (19-9-7) will travel to Prescott Valley, Ariz., to face the Arizona Sundogs at 8:05 p.m. today CST. The Sundogs lead the Jackalopes by one point for first place in the Southwest Division.
Kevin Wilson, in his first game with Odessa, scored the team’s only goal, at 7:16 of the second period.
