NORTH AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE: Trio selected for showcase

The North American Hockey League announced Tuesday that three Odessa Jackalopes players have been selected to play in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament from Feb. 20-22 in Troy, Mich.

Defenseman Mikko Virtanen and forwards Jalen Krogman and Josh Obregon will represent the Jackalopes on the South Division team in the three-day, three-game tournament.

Amarillo Bulls head coach Dennis Williams will be the South Division team’s coach, with Scott Langer of Topeka serving as his assistant.

The tournament allows many of the players another chance to showcase their skills in front of college recruiters and pro scouts.
