College swimming: Falcons get off to solid start

But the Falcons still have some catching up to do in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference after their season-opener. Swimming at the McMurry 3-Way in Abilene, which was scored as three head-to-head matches, the UTPB men’s team beat McMurry 473-350 but lost to RMAC power Incarnate Word 643-400.
On the women’s side of the draw, the Lady Falcons knocked off McMurry 452-347, but got beat by Incarnate Word 604-401.
Joseph Sarradet finished second for the men in the 200 individual medley in 1:57.88 and second in the 100 backstroke in 53.63. Julie Walter picked up a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 27.21.
No Falcon won an event.
