Comments 0 | Recommend 0PORTALES, N.M. Despite a goal from Marcelo Andres, the UTPB men’s soccer team lost its seventh consecutive game 3-1 against host Eastern New Mexico in a nonconference game Tuesday.
It was scoreless until the 37th minute, when the Greyhounds’ Kal Herbert scored from 10 yards out.
Four seconds before halftime, Andres’ goal from the top of the box tied it.
But two ENMU second-half goals, one four minutes after halftime, sealed it.
UTPB dropped to 2-8-1 overall, while the Greyhounds moved to 9-2-1 overall.
The Falcons next play at 4 p.m. Monday against Newman in a Heartland Conference game in Wichita, Kan.
