College basketball: Wranglers pull away for win

MIDLAND The Odessa College men’s basketball team completed its weekend play with a 68-63 victory Saturday afternoon over Grayson County College at the Midland College Chaparral Center.

Kevin Schaffartzik scored a team-high 20 points to lead Odessa College (8-1), with Josh Brown adding 17 and Desmond Woodberry 16 for the Wranglers.

Deremy Geiger scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Vikings, who trailed 33-24 at halftime. Stve Kohli adding 19 and Cheikh Mbodji 14 in the loss.
